Statement on the October 7 Attacks by Hamas

[edited with additional information]

The International Assembly for Netzarim Judaism unequivocally condemns the attacks by Hamas and Palestinian militants that occurred on October 7, 2023 in Israel. Particularly those that occurred at the Re’im Music Festival in southern Israel where more than 300 peaceful civilians were massacred. In addition, reports of mass rape, kidnapping, the murder of women, children, and the elderly, all of whom were non-combatants and unarmed, are without doubt the actions of people possessed of evil intent. There is no possible justification for such horrid acts.

While it is the stance of the IANJ that no person or nation should initiate violence against another, that peaceful means should always win out, in the case of the October 7 attack, we unanimously agree that Israel has every right to defend itself as a nation and the people within it. We therefore offer our support in this terrible time and affirm that we will uphold the righteous actions of Israel in prayer. We will continue to pray for a quick resolution and the return of all hostages as well as eventual peace in the region.
