Responding to the Covid-19 Pandemic

The Rabbis and members of the International Assembly for Netzarim Judaism wish to offer their condolences to those people who have lost loved ones to the Covid-19 virus. We fervently pray for a gentle repose for all the souls of those who have died due to this horrific pandemic. We further pray that in this difficult time, and in coming months, that all people will find a peaceful way through the economic and social turmoil we are facing. As lockdowns and restrictions are enforced across the United States, in Israel, and in countries everywhere, we face a period of unprecedented hardship. The rabbis of the IANJ stand ready to help all those in our communities and to lend a helping hand wherever possible.

As our synagogues, houses of worship, public and private facilities, face mandatory closures, as we are forced to cancel public gatherings, communal worship, even family gatherings, we face an uncertain future that has the potential to cause harm: economic, psychological, and otherwise. We are encouraging everyone to practice social distancing, good hygiene, and follow other suggestions from our medical experts. But, while we go through this time, we need to avoid overly isolating ourselves. Please, while it lacks the immediate and powerful sense of human contact, take advantage of the tools that modern technology avails us. Use social media responsibly, use Facetime, Zoom, and other such tools to stay in personal contact with your friends, family, and communities. Take advantage of religious communities that are offering online services.

With Gods help, we will persevere and get through this. We will, God willing, come out the other side even stronger. As we say, this too shall pass.
